QuranShield primarily operates as a local, offline application. We do not collect, store, or share your personal information, reading habits, or app usage data on our servers.

Screen Time and App Blocking (FamilyControls)

QuranShield uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls) to provide app blocking features that help you focus on your Quran reading.

• Authorization: You must explicitly grant permission for QuranShield to access Screen Time settings.
• Data Privacy: Information about the apps and websites you select to block, as well as your usage activity, remains entirely on your device. We do not have access to this data. Apple's framework ensures that this sensitive information is never shared with us or any third parties.
• Revocation: You can revoke Screen Time access at any time through your device or App settings.

Quran Reading Data

Your reading progress, bookmarks, notes, and goals are stored locally on your device.

• Syncing: If you use iCloud features (if supported), your data may be stored in your private iCloud container, which is encrypted and accessible only by you. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

2. Third-Party Services

We do not use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics or Firebase) to track your behavior within the App.

3. Data Retention

Since we do not collect your personal data on our servers, we do not have a data retention policy for user data. Your local data remains on your device until you delete the App or manually clear the data.

4. Children’s Privacy

QuranShield is safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Given that our App utilizes Screen Time controls often used by parents or guardians, we adhere strictly to Apple's guidelines regarding Family Controls. All restrictions and usage data are managed locally on the device.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
